By inserting a new steel beam above two brick openings we could eliminate the wall between the kitchen and the dining room. The parlor floor is now anchored at one end by a quartz clad island and views of the rear yard foliage.
Below the parlor, the garden level was reconnected to the home and provides an additional guest bedroom suite, gym, and media room. A stone patio and stone steps visually extend the rear yard to appear deeper.
